The client needed to manage over 500 expense approvals each year using a combination of spreadsheets, manual tracking sheets, and traditional, labor-intensive methods. Due to this manual process, there was a substantial delay in processing Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) requests, and documents were frequently misplaced or lost entirely. Multiple people working on the spreadsheets at different times led to frequent duplication errors, increasing both the risk and the approval process’s delays in terms of control and timeliness.
